Reflections with Tea

As the cooler air of the fall season embraces us, it is time to reflect on the remainder of the year as a Real Estate Agent or client. In Hawaii and many parts of the world, the hot summer season is subsiding and thus allowing for cool early morning hour temperatures. During this time, it is excellent to sleep early in the evenings and wake up early morning to some hot Green Tea or “Matcha.” A positive and productive day starts with effectively planning your schedule and thinking about your goals in all aspects of your life. The calm and coolness of the early morning day before the sun rises can creatively make a difference in your life.

Even as a client, it is a moment whereby you can have a more detailed feeling of what type of property or real estate you want to manifest in your life. Write down your ideas and thoughts in detail to clearly understand your dreams’ property. These details will also help your real estate agent know what you are looking for in your next property. Have you ever met a client with a lot of cash? Yet, they did not know what type of property they wanted or what to buy. In the end, the purchase took longer than expected because of the changes in ideas, wants, and needs with the property’s details.   The details of your ideal property will help everyone as you purchase a new home, whether you have the cash or will eventually need a mortgage. With this specific information, you can formulate your financial goals to achieve your dream home.

Green tea is a refreshing drink that has a history of being consumed in China for hundreds of years, and this drink has become very popular in many other places around the world, including Hawaii. Green tea drinkers consume the beverage hot or cold depending on the temperature, their mood, and the availability of the drink. In Japan, Green tea is young green tea leaves called “Camelia Sinensis” found in the Sencha growing regions such as Shizuoka, Japan. The tea leaves are harvested, steamed, and dried in whole leaf form, frequently with the stems removed, then ground to a fine powder called “Matcha.”

People that drink green tea might end up drinking it throughout the day and wonder about any side effects. However, green tea’s side effects are known to be the most positive. There is evidence that green has less caffeine than black tea and coffee. The Chinese have used green tea for medicinal reasons for hundreds of years. Recently, studies have shown some excellent benefits for those who drink green tea, such as the calming effect of L-theanine (an amino acid), polyphenols, and other antioxidant nutrients present in the tea. Mainly due to the young whole green tea leaves that are carefully processed with steam and quickly cooled and dried.

The type of Matcha that I prefer is the Organic, Ceremonial Grade type of Matcha typically found in tiny cans for air-tight storage. The organic Matcha has a natural green, lightly sweet taste and blends well with many recipes.

My passion for Tea and Real Estate go together; in the next few blog posts, I’d like to educate and share my tea and real estate knowledge. Have a BeauTeaFul day!
